B&B Duinlicht (Sanne and Ruben) takes good care of your personal data. This statement explains which data we collect through this website, why, and what your rights are.
What we collect
Booking requests
When you request a room through the website, we ask for your name, email address, phone number, country, arrival and departure dates, number of guests and any comments. We need this to handle your request, prepare your stay and get in touch with you. Legal basis: performing the agreement (your booking).
Contact form
If you send us a message through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. We only use these to answer your question. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions, or preparing an agreement.
How long we keep data
We keep booking details for as long as needed for your stay, and after that for as long as the law requires (Dutch tax rules require seven years for financial records). Messages sent through the contact form are deleted no later than one year after your question has been dealt with.
Cookies
This website only uses functional cookies that are needed for the site to work: one that remembers your language choice (Dutch or English) and cookies the booking form uses to remember your chosen dates and room until you send your request. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and no Google Analytics. That’s why we don’t ask for cookie consent.
Who we share data with
We never sell your data. Our website is hosted by a provider in the European Union, and emails from the website are sent through an email service. These parties only process data on our behalf. Beyond that, we only share data when the law requires us to.
Your rights
You can always ask which data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. You can also object to how it’s used. Just contact us via the contact form or call 0251 765 432. If you’re not happy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
The website uses a secure connection (https). Only we have access to the bookings and messages that come in through the site.
