Our story
A house that was waiting for us
We’d wanted to live by the sea for years. In 2019 we saw this 1930s house at the edge of the dunes up for sale: crooked window frames, old wallpaper, a garden full of brambles. And yet we knew straight away.
Over the following years we restored the house ourselves. Ruben sanded floors and straightened window frames, Sanne found colours that suit the light of the dunes. We kept the original doors, the stained-glass windows and the staircase.
Now the whole first floor is for our guests. We live downstairs, so we’re around when you need us, and leave you in peace when you’d rather be alone.

Bread from the village baker, eggs from the farm nearby. As short a trip as possible from farm to plate.

What you see is what you pay: breakfast and tourist tax are always included.

We know every dune path. Just ask us about the best walk of the day.
